Preliminary Program:

Day 1: Sofia

Meeting and assistance at Sofia airport. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Half-day walking city tour of Sofia. Back in the hotel. Overnight. Optional: Welcome dinner in a restaurant (Bulgarian cuisine)

Day 2: Sofia – Plovdiv

Breakfast. Transfer to Plovdiv (European capital of culture for 2019). Hotel accommodation. City tour of Plovdiv including Old town, Roman theatre, Ancient stadium and etc.

Optional: Visit Rila Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage) – charges applicable
Optional: Visit Bachkovo Monastery – charges applicable

Day 3: Plovdiv – Stara Zagora

Breakfast. Transfer to city of Stara Zagora. Hotel accommodation. City tour of Stara Zagora incl. Regional History Museum, Neolith village, Roman Forum, open fruit and vegetable market and etc. Free time for leisure, SPA activities, or shopping

Optional: Zagorka brewery tour with beer tasting in Stara Zagora – € 8 per person

Day 4: Stara Zagora – Kazanlak – Veliko Tarnovo

Early Breakfast and transfer to Kazanlak. Sightseeing tour of Kazanlak including visit of Thracian tomb of Kazanlak – UNESCO world Heritage (dates around the end of the 4th century BC) and Historical museum of Kazanlak (Thracian golden treasure) Visit of Rose museum and distillery.

Transfer to Veliko Tarnovo. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo – historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire and named the City of the Tsars. Visit the fortress Tsarevets.

Day 5: Veliko Tarnovo – Sofia

Breakfast. Transfer to Sofia. Visit of National Historical Museum & Boyana Church (UNESCO World Heritage List).
Hotel accommodation.

Free time for rest and self-exploring the city.

Day 6: Sofia

Breakfast. Time for leisure.
