Explore the area which is famous for its beautiful roses and the production of rose oil. Pay a visit to the Museum of Roses and let the museum guide you through the history of rose-oil production.

During your visit, you will learn more about the 300-year-old production method. Gaze at the antique perfume-making equipment and stroll around the shop full of products made from roses. Thanks to an amazing discovery at the beginning of the 21-century, the beautiful Valley of the Roses got a second name. The valley has the thickest density of burial mounds in Bulgaria and therefore is now also known as the "Valley of the Thracian Kings".

Tour around the area and discover hundreds of burial mounds concealing the gold-filled tombs of ancient kings. You will first stop at the Golyama Kosmatka Thracian tomb, one of the largest mounds ever found on the Balkan Peninsula. After that, you will explore the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak. Gaze at the UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at its unique frescoes dating from the 4th century B.C. Visit the Historical Museum of Kazlanak to learn more about the rich cultural heritage of the region.
