The shopping tour starts from the hotel with a bus transfer to downtown. The guide will explain to you all along the tour about the typical shopping habits of ordinary Bulgarian people. The first place to be visited is the Central Sofia Market Hall which is situated in the city center, near the Baths (mineral water springs) facing the mosque and the synagogue.
The Market Hall has been a covered market since 1911 and is today an important trade center in the city. The style of the building is Neo-Renaissance, featuring elements of Neo-Byzantine architecture and Neo-Baroque. Today people go shopping every day for fresh products and other items.
Afterwards, we are going to pass through a local place with a lot of souvenirs, on our way to Graf Ignatiev Street which is the common shopping street downtown and has a lot of small boutique shops for clothes, shoes, bookstores etc.
We will take a stroll and therefore the driver will drive us to one of the shopping malls of Sofia where the contemporary women do all their shopping for clothes and a lot of entertainment. At present, there are 3 bigger malls in Sofia and many small ones. Ladies have to decide where they want to go!
